One of our goals is to give you a truly "democratic" choice each Election Day, by seeing to it that there is a good Republican candidate for you to choose from for every elective office in East Providence. In order to ensure that politicians remain accountable to you, we are working to change a political climate where far too many individuals are elected without any opposition.

As part of our effort to grow the Republican Party in East Providence, we hold regular city and ward committee meetings, as well as sponsor other fun events. If you share our concerns about an ever-increasing tax burden, wasteful spending, crumbling infrastructure, and a political culture that invites corruption -- we welcome you to join our growing team! FRAN BRELSFORD FOR SCHOOL COMMITTEE FUNDRAISER!

The Friends of Francine Brelsford will be holding a "Fran-tastic" Fundraiser for East Providence School Committee At-Large candidate Francine Brelsford on Thursday, August 28, 2008, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 50 Crescent View Avenue, in Riverside.

There will be plenty of Hors d'oeuvres and a Cash Bar. Speakers to include State Reps. Jack Savage and Susan Story, E.P. Councilman Robert Cusack, and E.P. School Committeeman Steve Santos. Numerous other statewide elected officials and candidates are also expected to attend. Tickets are only $20/person or $35/couple. AUGUST MEETING!

The next monthly meeting of the East Providence Republican City Committee has been scheduled for Monday, August 18, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the home of Steve & Kathy Santos, 4 Thurston Street, in Riverside.

With the election season just getting into full swing, we have a lot of time-sensitive committee business on the agenda, so please make an extra effort to attend.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISER SET FOR JUNE 26TH!

The East Providence Republican City Committee will be holding its Annual Fundraiser and Candidates Reception on Thursday, June 26th, 2008 from 6:30PM to 9:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 50 Crescent View Avenue, in Riverside.

The fundraiser will feature the "first ever" GOP Vice-Presidential Straw Poll ($1 per vote; ballot stuffing highly encouraged), a Silent Auction, Catered Hors d'oeuvres and a Cash Bar. Cost is only $20/person or $35/couple. College Republicans get in for FREE!

Speakers to include: Gov. Don Carcieri, RIGOP Chair Gio Cicone, Warwick Mayor Scott Avedesian, Honorable Steve Laffey, State Representatives Jack Savage and Sue Story, E.P. City Councilman Robert Cusack, and E.P. School Committeeman Steve Santos, plus numerous state and local Republican candidates! Don't miss it!
